Easy Nutella Truffles

Yields-about 18 small truffles 

Ingredients-

4 oz chopped semi sweet chocolate (I used Ghirardelli)

1/4 cup heavy cream 

1 tablespoon butter

Pinch salt

 1/2 cup Nutella 

Potential Toppings -Good quality dark cocoa powder for rolling, valentines sprinkles, melt 3oz of white chocolate with 1/2 teaspoon of crisco shortening for coating (can also you dark, milk or semi sweet!) , chopped roasted hazelnuts!

Steps-

1. Set a heat safe bowl over a small pot of simmering water (the bowl should be at least 1 inch above the water, never touching) . Add the chopped chocolate, heavy cream, pinch of salt and butter. Stir slowly and frequently until everything is melted and smooth. 

2. Remove from the heat and stir in the Nutella until combined . Cover with plastic wrap and place in the fridge for 90 minutes or until fully set. (Can also do overnight)

3.  Use a small portion scoop or a teaspoon and scoop small balls (can really do whatever size you like!)

  4. Dip the balls in whatever toppings you like! I did some in dark cocoa powder, some in melted white chocolate topped with a few festive sprinkles and some in just sprinkles! Chill for 20 minutes or until set then enjoy!
