Jalapeño Citrus Grilled Shrimp with Natalie's Juice

This jalapeno citrus grilled shrimp is the perfect Game Day appetizer! It's sweet, tangy, a little bit spicy and the best part is its really quick and easy to make! I use Natalie's Juice in the marinade because the juices are always bright and fresh and consist of very minimal ingredients. For the recipe all you have to do is combine the marinade ingredients, pour it over the raw shrimp, let it sit for 30 minutes and the grill them on skewers. The remaining marinade I reduce down on the stove and then pour it right over the shrimp. Its the perfect appetizer that you can eat with one hand while you cheer on your team!

Serves about 6-8 people as an appetizer

Ingredients-

1.5-2 lbs shrimp ( raw, shell and tail off, deveined)

Marinade-

1 lime zested

1/3 cup Natalies Margarita Mix

1/3 cup Natalie’s Tangerine Juice

1 ½   tablespoons honey

1 ½  tablespoons extra virgin olive oil

1 jalapeño sliced thin

Dash of ground cumin

1/4 teaspoon smoked paprika

1/2 teaspoon sumac

½  teaspoon Aleppo pepper

Salt and pepper to taste

Garnish- fresh chopped cilantro, chives or both!

Steps-

  1. Combine the cleaned, raw  shrimp with the marinade ingredients.

  2. Marinate for 25-30 mins, then save the marinade.

  3. Thread the shrimp onto skewers.

  4. Strain the marinade into a small saucepan and cook on medium heat. Boil and reduce until thickened, about 7-10 minutes.

  5. Sprinkle the shrimp skewers with salt and pepper and grill them on your outdoor BBQ or indoor grill pan until they have light grill marks and they are opaque (only about 2 minutes on each side). Place the cooked skewers on a platter and pour the reduced down marinade over the top then finish with chopped cilantro, chives or both!
